La Mirada developed from a large olive and citrus ranch into a planned suburb in the 1950s and 60s. Neighborhoods today have mature pines, ficus, magnolias, jacarandas, liquidambar, palms and occasional old olive trees. Many of those trees are 60 years old and overhanging roofs or lifting driveways, which leads to both tree trimming and tree removal calls.
Liquidambar and ficus roots commonly lift sidewalks and walkways. When those trees come out, we grind the stump and surface roots so repairs can be made. For trees worth keeping, thinning and deadwood removal reduce wind damage.
See stump grinding vs stump removal to plan the cleanup. We also serve Whittier, Norwalk and Cerritos.
