Ficus gets thinned and reduced back to lateral branches so it doesn’t explode with new sprouts. Eucalyptus is cleaned of dead limbs and loose bark and reduced where it hangs over structures. Jacarandas and Chinese elms get crown thinning so the canopy stays lighter.
